This is what Independence Day looks like in my neighborhood. Despite everything, more flags are flying today than I've seen in years. Here are thirteen of them.
Visit Thursday Thirteen to see what's on everyone else's mind this week.
Mainly picnics, or rather bbq's, and fireworks. After a bbq at our house last night and another one at friends today I'm on meat overload at the moment.
My husband is heading to Israel next week (from the States) and is excited for his first trip off this continent. I am jealous and I'll miss him tons, but it's an awesome opportunity.
Doesn't it just give you the chills to see the spirit of independence in flying of all the flags? I know here in America I could weep with joy and pride when observing this kind of patriotism.
Great list idea! Your photos really capture the spirit of independence :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TT and have a great rest of the week :)
That is so impressive. I'm linking your piece to this evening's Pink Flamingo wrap-up. Quite moving.
