.
This scene struck me enough that I had to photograph it - two people, with lawn chairs and their morning coffee, sitting above the water and looking out intently - at fog so thick that both water and sky were utterly invisible. I haven't the faintest idea what held them so spellbound, I couldn't see anything at all, just an overwhelming whiteness so thick you could practically hold it in your hand.

Visit Skywatch Friday for more skies from around the world.
.
Maybe they are waiting for the fog to lift and don't want to miss it.
ReplyDeleteProbably, but they would have had quite a long wait that morning, and coffee long since ice cold.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was the coffee! Great candid shot...I would have stopped to take the photo too.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
to each his own . . .
ReplyDeletefun shot though, I'm glad you happened by to get it.
Optimism!
ReplyDeleteEither that or they'd paid for the vacation and the blue and were dang well going to enjoy it anyway.
This is how my dream retirement looks like! Perfect vision for the future!
ReplyDeleteVERY cool shot. I bet seeing it in person was quite surreal.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty quiet in the fog, maybe that was the appeal?! Great shot either way.
ReplyDeleteI haven't the foggiest idea, but the coffee and company must have been good!
ReplyDeleteSometimes that overwhelming whiteness is all you need to calm your soul! Good shot.
ReplyDeleteHi, Robin. This is a really fun shot. It reminds me of some unfortunate commercials in the U.S. for a pharmaceutical product. The elderly but apparently romantic couple is situated in two separate bathtubs with their backs to the TV audience. I always wonder "what happens next?" How on earth do those arthritic old people clamber out of those deep tubs and into the presumed embrace that the commercial indicates might be coming soon???
ReplyDeleteFun shot ... perfect title ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
What a great shot. It would be fun making up a story about what they were seeing.
ReplyDeleteMountain view?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
Happy weekend!
Regina
It looks like a good time. You captured a mood very nicely.
ReplyDeleteLove this one. The mirror image chairs look like they're floating.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting..love this photo!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo! Maybe they are waiting for friends so they all can watch the fog? Great moody shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat Shot! I'm thinking maybe they were lost in each other's thoughts?
ReplyDeleteCool shot, they could be enjoying the sounds of the water.
ReplyDeletepeople are strange.
ReplyDeleteAn awesome shot of the oddness of others.
Cool! And for once - I can`t say beautiful coulors of the sky - but beautiful colours at the chairs ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day :)
It could have been Ellsworth Kelly enjoying the white of the canvas too.
ReplyDeleteNow I dont feel so bad ... my sky shot, which is a cheat since its really a shadow/reflection shot, has the same color sky ... love this shot!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Only on the east coast, eh?
ReplyDeleteA perfect place to meditate with no distractions...
ReplyDeletei wish MY mornings were this tranquil! :) great shot! sorry i've been out of touch on the blogosphere! i'm back up and running again! :) have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt kind of looks like they are sitting on the moon!
ReplyDeletePerhaps they were meditating? Or having a serious discussion. The chairs certainly brighten the landscape.
ReplyDeleteSp cool!
ReplyDeleteCould they be asleep already while waiting for the sky to show its beauty?
ReplyDeleteBut the bright colors of the two chairs make this a very interesting picture!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's more relaxing to look at "nothing"?
ReplyDeleteAnd it certainly made an interesting picture!
How relaxed that is! Great shot but it's already made me lazy! And, it's just Monday :-(
ReplyDelete- Pixellicious Photos
It's funny because I thought they were looking at rock. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up from the weekend Robin and hope you had a great one!
Simple enough. They were waiting for you to come along and capture that splash of color against the white of the fog.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it obvious?
