Nope. Not a castle (but lots of imaginary bonus points to you if you got this fairly esoteric Rocky Horror reference). It's the crenelated top of Notre-Dame de l'Arche d'Alliance in Abu Ghosh.

Those of you who are tiring of my Abu Ghosh images can breathe a bit easier now - I just went out and bought a bunch of flowers (including a very cool looking variegated gerbera daisy and a white not-a-rose, aka something I can't remember the name of but which looks quite like a rose) for the express purpose of photographing them tomorrow morning.

Abu Ghosh?
ReplyDeleteGood bless!
heh heh
I learned a new term: crenelated
Love the angle .. very cool and I am enjoying our walk
Great photo my friend. I love the little bit of clouds in it :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I've enjoyed the Abu Ghosh tour but will look forward to the flowers too. Interesting composition; nicely done!
ReplyDeletePretty blue.
ReplyDeleteWell, I for one would rather see old Abu Ghosh than fresh flowers.
But I know what you mean (soon it will be time for me to end Tiberias).
I'm not tired at all of Abu Ghosh. Just beginning to get interested...
ReplyDeleteLovely top of the tower. Now I want to see the whole church. The grand tour. And get an idea of those who used to look there (reading the background it sounds like the place has a lot of history).
I'm glad you're all enjoying it. I'm having fun seeing the hidden potential in what started out as a very mediocre bunch of images as well. I don't think I got the whole church Leora, but I do have some nice shots of a Madonna statue that's up on the top that will appear eventually.
ReplyDeleteI'm not tired either Robin!
ReplyDeleteAnd you say you have Madonna statues coming up? :) Let'em come! ;)
Great post and awesome capture!
Have a nice friday
I love the filmy clouds in the brilliant blue sky. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the way you shot this so much. Beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteVery nice angle and a clear blue sky.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! :)
Please, feel free to continue on this tour of Abu Ghosh for as long as you like. You got some awesome stuff on that little jaunt. Like... well this one for example!
ReplyDeleteI took some similar to this one at Lehigh University a few years back. There's something about this kind of architecture against this kind of sky that refuses to be ignored isn't there?
Love these inages, Robin! But am anxious to see what you'll do with the flowers... :)
ReplyDeletegreat picture and a riddle, what is it .... coudd be a church or so ... sounds french, ....
ReplyDeleteNice blue sky !!
Have a nice skywatching day !
I'm not tired of them...
ReplyDeleteLOVE today's shot.
