I agree with the others, that is the most beautiful bridge I've ever seen! What a fantastic shot, Robin! And such lovely skies as well! Have a lovely weekend!
BTW, the two red&white striped chimneys in the background are from an electricity generating station that was decommissioned a couple of weeks ago! The argument now is whether to demolish those twin towers that are part of Dublin's landscape.

Its is very beautiful, but already people are calling it the Harp Bridge rather than the Samuel Beckett! The day they delivered the sae-crane to start putting the bridge together we happened to be returning to Dublin by ferry so we had a brilliant view of the kerfuffle!
Actually my children and I (and of course my husband) live in Israel, which is in fact quite far from where we grew up in the US, but Dublin was just a quickie kid-free getaway while my parents were visiting and could watch the kids :).
The why Israel question is a much longer one that I'll save for another day. For now I'll just say that it's home, and has been for twenty years now.
I would LOVE to make a living as a photograper Linda, or at least to make part of my living that way. It would be such an incredible thing, to be able to actually make a living doing and sharing what I love.
To that end, if there are any images here that someone out there wants to purchase that aren't in my shop, by all means let me know and I'll get them in there for you right away :).

The harp in general is an extremely important piece of Irish history I'm told. It's been used in heraldic devices for a long time.

looks just like the bridge in Jerusalem, that I just recently realized is meant to evoke the image of King David' harp.....
