Postcard from Tel Aviv

.

This shot I snapped on the beach in Tel Aviv earlier this month has a real "wish you were here" postcard-type feel to it, don't you think?

And before you all hate me too much - it really wasn't all that warm. The temperatures a few blocks away from the sea were lovely but right by the beach it was so windy that I was shivering in a sweater! Still better than snow and ice in my book though, so I'll take it :).

Visit Skywatch Friday for more skies from around the world.

  1. Warm or not, it's still the beach, the sea, sand, waves, blue -- all those things Jerusalem lacks.

  2. Coucou Robin, I haven't said hi in awhile. I hope all is well with you and your family. I have a friend from my town that may be sitting on that beach as I write :)

  3. Oh, it does look so invitingly warm and serene! We're supposed to be getting 18 inches of snow tonight, with the power possible going out. It's gonna a heavy, wet snow, capable of snapping off large tree branches...and our house is all electric! :(

  4. What a beautiful photo--since I live in the desert, I am partial to sea views. You seem to have the best of both worlds.

    Robin, you have no idea how much time I spend looking at the header photo of your kitchen whenever I come to your blog. I love seeing rooms and houses from around the world!

    Happy Skywatching.

  11. Totally Postcard-type! Great shot.

    It always amazes me no matter how chilly it might be ,as long as the sun is out, you'll always find some people on the T.A. beach in a bathing suit.

  12. Oh my that is a lovely shot.

    But since the kitchen is my favorite room, and I do spend much time there...(don't have an island like you) but really enjoyed seeing your kitchen, and some of the little details in the background.

    The sky-seekers, some people say,
    Do not favor night over day;
    They always look up,
    The sky is their cup,
    And keeping it full’s their cachet!
