Ooh, ooh, when you're done here scroll down to the bottom to hear some big news!

Today's Ruby Tuesday post continues the utility cabinet theme I started yesterday - this one is my favorite one of all. I love the vibrant colors and the tropical hideaway feel it gives to something as mundane as a big metal box. Just think how awful that metal monstrosity must have looked before getting its makeover, and now look at it. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive by.

What puts a smile on your face in your neighborhood?

Newsflash:
The inaugural issue of the new poetry and art journal Ouroboros Review is now out in its online version. Jo Hemmant and Christine Swint have done a wonderful job, the new magazine is a real treasure, and one I'm very excited to be a part of - two of my own images were chosen for inclusion (see pages 31 and 36), which thrills me immensely as I see the company I'm in. Here, come see for yourselves. Careful though, you won't be able to put it down again very easily.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

WOW! I love ART! and that is just very unique and beautiful!
Cardinals! I LOVE them. We have a pair that eat at our feeders. Unfortunately, they see me and my camera and fly away.
Wonderful birds! How cheerful that box now is.
Art that put a smile on your face. That's a hard one to match.
Post boxes are often decorated. They are so small.
I guess the children who painted the walls of a street tunnel near by, they made me smile.
And so did you.

Great pics. Congratulations on the "magazine" inclusion!
I love cardinals, love your shot! what a great find!
Congrats on the magazine inclusion, that's wonderful news!
gorgeous pics and congrats babe!
OH, thanks for sharing these! It just goes to show we can be surrounded by beauty.
Congrats on your inclusion in the magazine. I'm going to check it out now.
Great collections of these paintings! I think it's an art form by itself.
i'm sure these paintings would put a smile at passersby. neat idea!
Some people certainly how to transform utility cabinets. This one looks beautiful!
that is so cool! i finally got to click over - good for you!:-)
I like this much better than the graffiti that one normally sees adorning everything that isn't moving in the city. Nice shot.
That would make me smile too ! it looks really nice !t
The little neighbor boy in front of our house has a garden dwarf collection (horrible beetween us) but he always puts them in a different way and that makes me really laugh each time I look acorss the street ! Since a week they are in a circle with one standing in the middle !
I love this, Robin.
I love this street Art, available to many people. Very creative work.
The one you choose is perfect for Ruby Tuesday.
They add joy in your streets. I certainly would have taken pictures too.
That's really gorgeous! How talented and yes, what a moodlifter!
Those utility boxes are gorgeous! I would have to smile at the sight of those too.
Congrats on the journal. So exciting!
Congratulations!!!
The thing that makes me smile in my neighborhood is my wacky neighbor across the street. Not only does he play reveille some mornings, but he crashed a remote control plane into the roof of his barn and it makes me giggle every time I see it. Wacky!
Now that is very clever and beautiful especially as I love birds..
red birds are so pretty!
That is very clever! They can do that in Belgium too, it makes you smile indeed! Congratulations on the magazine!
What a great idea - and so beautifully done. I can see why it puts a smile on your face.
Congrats on the magazine. It's beautifully done. The way they have set it up is very clever, though my computer (or my brain... or both) are being cranky today so I had some difficulty with the page being either too small or to big to read comfortably. Still two beautiful photos and some fine poems and artwork. Way cool! Congratulations.
Oh wow, that's pretty cool! Someone is very talented. :)
My first Ruby Tuesday.
now that's talent!
The storage bins look excellent with the artwork applied. The colors look far better than the beige or gray usually on these cabinets.
Why should the mundane look so? Even the broom and rake holders deserve a bit of style...
I really enjoyed seeing this and the other artwork in your previous post! Really neat that people have beautified their surroundings...
Your town's artists are better than ours!
Awesome about the magazine inclusion.
how fantastic! to make daily life so much more beautiful!!
