And a very exciting side note, Together, my contribution to the Blogher Gulf of Mexico Benefit Auction, is now live for bidding on ebay. The resolution on ebay is awful, not at all like the gorgeous piece the bidder will actually receive, so I've gone ahead and posted a copy here as well (go ahead, scroll down, I'll wait) so you can get a better idea of what it actually looks like.
The auction piece was specially printed on glass (wow!) by Fracture and everyone who saw it at the BlogHer Gala says it looks incredible. Click here to bid on it (remember, it's to benefit the Nature Conservancy and the Gulf of Mexico cleanup efforts, a really great cause!).
See, doesn't it look better here than on ebay? It would look even better hanging on your wall ;).

No matter what the medium, that piece is awesome Robin. Just awesome! I hope your piece sells for a boatload of money and that the Gulf benefits enormously form the auction in general.
As is this breathtaking vista. But there's nothing surprising in that.
Now. You want to talk about windy, you should visit the mountains 'round here sometime. Blowing Rock, NC -- specifically Grandfather Mountain -- routinely records hurricane force winds and Mt. Mitchell (the highest point in the country east of the Mississippi River) is listed among the coldest and windiest places in the US. It's said that it more closely resembles Eastern Canada than the Eastern US climate-wise, and even has several species of plants (and animals I suppose) not found anywhere else south of Canada (at least on the Eastern Seaboard). And having been to the summit of said mountain, I can confirm that -- in mid-February especially -- it is damned cold up there (Especially when you have a brain fart and leave your ski jacket at the condo. Duh.)
Great photo for SWF,Robin!Really beautiful landscape!Have a nice weekend!
Love the blue hues! Happy SWF!
Marvelous blue skies and lovely clouds over the mountains, Robin! Happy SWF! Hope you have a great weekend!

Gorgeous view from the mountain top.
What a beautiful mountain top view. And the sky is beautiful also.
I love Mount Washington having climbed it several times when I was younger...and I still have the sore knees to prove it. (Not really about STILL having the sore knees, but it makes a good story.)
I know this place well Robin...such a beautiful photo of one of my favorite places to just be.
your piece for the auction is wonderful. i hope it fetches good money for charity.
That is indeed a fantastic view. Great shot!
Wow, breathtaking! Beautifully captured.
Have a great weekend.
hi Robin!
First photo is a stunner, composed beautifully.
You're very generous to give the other work to the charity auction, hope it sells for a fortune, and you made a great sales pitch.
I've heard about Mt. Washington but I don't think that I've ever seen a photo of it before.
I am new here! Would love for you to come visit me too :)
Have a great day!

Mountain scenery is always awesome and I hope your piece reaches astronomical heights for such a good cause.
what a nice cause for you to contribute to. Hope you bring in a good amount.
Outstanding, Robin!
Beautiful piece, best of luck with the auction!
How about that MW Hotel... quite a place, eh? (Think, "Bretton Woods Accord.)
And Mount Washington itself is magnificent for the Lower Forty-Eight! I've climbed it scores of times in all seasons, many dozens of times by technical ice routes. It's matched in The East only by Kahtadin in Maine (sorry, Mojo, Mt. Mitchell doesn't hold a candle to it, either in weather, topography or real alpine conditions, though it IS cool for a big Eastern peak.)
Glad to hear you enjoyed your NH vacation!
