There's something about weathered wood that draws me in - great texture!
And yes, nice composition.

Weathered reds have their own sense of style. But add a vase this beautiful, and the whole neighborhood looks fabulous!

Love the look, Robin.
I've never seen a pecan in its shell, and I love them, so I'm delighted.
The vase has a lovely antique look.
I do love your photography.

This scene could have come from Mexico or the U.S.A. desert Southwest. Subtle. Inviting. Thank you.

SEEING RED

Tonight, my dear, I’m seeing red—
Or is it puce or rose?
Whatever’s going round my head
Is tingling all my toes.

My heart, my dear, becomes inflamed
With passion sore ablaze;
Perhaps it is because I miss
Your glowing, crimson gaze.

Whate’er the cause, my face is flushed
Like a ripened cherry,
No longer healthy, but inflamed—
See the vessels serry*?

A certain sanguine aftertaste
Is clinging to my tongue,
For I have kissed your ruby lips—
To which the claret clung.

*serry – (archaic) to crowd closely together

I keep looking at the stylized flower pattern of the vase.
It's intriguing, kind of resembles old rosepaint pattern.
A well composed picture of raw, rough as a background for the this special vase.

The textures of the flaking red, the pecan shells and then the smooth swirls of the vase. Really nice composition for RT
