We have fig trees in our garden, too (along with papaya, mango, and several kinds of citrus). The one in your photo looks ripe to perfection. Happy WW.
I would LOVE a mango tree but it's much too big for a rooftop patio. This fig tree is actually a small one in a pot. It's finally bearing a bit of fruit though, and we've managed to grab it before the birds. We have a few citrus trees but they don't give too much.
This fig definitely was ripe to perfection though - it was delicious!
Oh I LOVE figs and when I was little I did eat them right off a tree. Yummy...The most interesting way I've had them so far was on a pizza, with arugula and a soft white cheese. enjoy
That's gorgeous. My mom got me on a fig kick a couple of years ago, but seeing your picture made me realize I haven't eaten figs in a long time! I'll have to add that to my grocery list. Although I don't know if they will be as tasty as yours looks like it was.
