Jaffa Arches

If you look carefully you'll see that these arches no longer have a roof over them but they still serve as doorways into a quiet, shaded corner of Old Jaffa. Just a few feet away an ancient olive press stands baking in the sun while here all is cool and inviting.

    Beautiful photo. The arches still look quite sturdy. Without a roof it becomes and interesting piece of weathered, large-scale sculpture.

    it's beautiful, Robin, love the light and reflections in it, as well as those old arches.
    I've not been able to load or comment on your last few posts, don't know what blogger is up to. It's not my computer, cos I've tried on a couple of different ones.

    This is really cool.
    Jaffa is almost as good as Jerusalem for photos of old stuff.
