These little guys were not shy at all this weekend. Here's another one peeking out from his den. Cute little furballs aren't they, though if you enlarge the photo you'll get a look at some very sharp looking little teeth.

Looked a fun weekend break, temps in the 80s, wow...
ReplyDeleteAre you sure this little Hyrex is harmless....lol
Looks a bit like a sharp hamster.
ReplyDeleteA good little model.
It does look like a curious little critter.
ReplyDeleteIt is similar in appearance Aileni, but quite a bit bigger. This one was easily 1.5 feet (about 40 or so cm) long.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cutie, indeed! You got a great shot!
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute..good capture.
ReplyDeleteLooks so cute.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
My little one finds it so cute.
ReplyDeleteWe never had seen such little animal, in fact. I wouldn't have approached my hand close to it, though.
Sounds like a perfect family week-end, discovering desert life !
Cute, yes, but I'm keeping a distance. He doesn't look any too trusting and animal bites can get really nasty.
ReplyDeleteBut he makes a fabulous model!
It looks like a smart rodent ... is it friendly?
ReplyDeleteNice shot, Robin
Great shot. He looks like he is daring intruders to get too near.
ReplyDeleteAWE! So cute. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like he came out of his den especially for you! Ouch...those are nasty looking teeth...
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one before, he looks cute, but ...
ReplyDeleteNot sure.
He was cute, but he's still a wild animal so I wouldn't advise getting close enough for him to feel threatened. This one was taken from a good bit back with a zoom lens ;-), though there was some foreign tourist there feeding it straw. Not only was that stupid and not necessarily good for the animal it also interfered with my photo!
ReplyDeleteNice shot, Robin!
ReplyDeleteSo cute.
Interesting creature. Not a big rodent fan, despite the fact that many claim my dackels are nothing more than doggy rodents! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
He looks cute but I'm not tempted too stroke his fur. Lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteI can always depend on you for an unusual and lovely foto. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAww, he looks cute but when you enlarge it those teeth do look sharpe. lol
ReplyDeleteNice mono! :-)
He's a cutie! Though, I won't be zooming in to see the teeth. I'd rather remember him as a sweet little thing. LOL
ReplyDeleteGorgeous detail! Enlarging the photo makes it even more stunning. He does have teeth, doesn't he?
ReplyDeleteNo kidding..enlarging it you can see what bite he could give! Reminds me of the Mongoose here- Nice one-
ReplyDeleteCute. Sharp, yes, but still cute.
