I really have to get out shooting more. While I do have still hundreds of shots from this summer to show you all it would be nice to have more recent material to intersperse with them, not to mention the good it would do to my psyche to answer the muse's incessant call and get out there, camera in hand.

Soon. Very soon.

Aren't shores the best.
After using nothing but old material, I really like doing new stuff.
Maybe it's better like that. I have recent photos but like the holiday ones so much that I post them and the ones taken now will post later. Ergo none will be "on time".
This was a lovely mono shot. Thanks for sharing.
I love this shot. There's something so beautiful about water on rocks.
Wonderfully composed and monochrome suits it!
Robin, this shot is amazing. I love how the water is so solid in the black and white. The differnt surface textures really express the depth of this scene. And the clouds are so soft. Beautiful capture!
Thanks for stopping by my PSF. And I'm very glad that your blog is fixed, and I really liked your boat post, it was fun to read.
Almost as f I were standing in the water.
What a peaceful place to be. Great captured :)
Enlarged it has so much more detail.
I hear you on the photo shoots, ditto....
The sea is always so lovely - nice work!
A really nice place to getrelaxed shoulders and peace :-)) use it my friend!!
Lovely.
I try to always carry my camera with me - that's the joy of digital - being able to make mistakes and it doesn't matter.
Nice mono! Lots of texture in it.
great pictures, Robin!!
thanks so much for all of your kind words this past week...much appreciated!
Happy Sunday!
Hi Robin, it's been a while. I'm so behind on reading and commenting, you wouldn't believe!!!
Not all pictures work in B1W, but this one does!
I wish I could take photos like you do! If only I stopped dropping my cameras, maybe they'd work a little better. ; )
There is quite a bit of depth to your photo here..and wow, you really have a lot of round rocks. Interesting. We have to go into the mountains to see that where there are streams and rivers. I can see large trees in the back.. nice photo-
This is both lovely and desolate!
I hadn't picked up my camera in almost a month, and this weekend I found myself out of my element, with camera in hand and shooting. Only then did I realize how much I missed not being on the look out for the perfect photo.
nicely composed and shot
I do like watching the tide going in and out. That's something I miss living in Ontario. No tides on the Great Lakes, I'm afraid.
I'm happy you follow the call of your muse, your pictures are inspirational.
Very pretty, I just love rocks & water!
Calico Contemplations
They said there is water on the Moon. If they put some trees - it may become livable :) Great photo - especially when enlarged!
Still beautiful even in monotone color.
The shore always holds wonderful photos that we just have to find!
So, I'm ... looks like almost 2 weeks late in getting here. But I LOVE this. It has a real post-apocalyptic look to it. And I totally get the itch you have to get out a scratch. I'd barely touched my camera in two weeks, then made two trips to Greensboro and another one downtown. Felt good to appease the muse.
