Silence

.
Thank goodness for Wordless Wednesday, because I'm waist-deep in preparations for Maya's birthday Wednesday afternoon and don't have the time to even think of writing an actual post.
.
On the other hand, if you come back on Thursday I will hopefully be able to offer you photos of a very cute (please please please let this work) Fairy House birthday cake.
.
In the meantime I'll be fantasizing about this tranquil, silent spot as I race around like a headless chicken, surrounded by chaos and astronomical levels of noise.

Interesting that you chose a spot of such serenity while rushing around madly. Good luck with the cake. It's sure to be cute and tasty however it comes out. I'm sure fairies are not overly picky when their houses are made from cake ;) Happy WW

This looks like the area I grew up in N.H. Nice shot. Happy WW!

Looking forward to seeing the pics!!

Happy B-day Maya?

And happy birthing day, Robin!!

Thanks RivkA. Her actual birthday was about two weeks ago but today is her party - we had to wait for the entertainer we wanted (a particularly good and much lower-key than usual clown) to be available. She took the wait in stride though - it just stretched out the birthday festivities even longer.

Speaking of which, I'm supposed to be making buttercream frosting right now.

With this kind of dedication the cake should definitely come out well. Happy Birthday to your little girl!

So much for "wordless" eh? I'm yanking your chain of course. Wish the lady a Happy birthday for me won't you? (It's the oddest thing... both Maggie Dammit and Sandy Carlson have kids with birthdays tomorrow. There must be something about my favorite people that makes them... anxious in what? Late January? Hmm... Sandy live in CT and Maggie lives in WI. Okay, but what's your excuse?)

But since I'm here and I figure you'd want to know, I'll pass along this link.

A nice tranquil spot sounds nice right now. Things have been pretty hectic and stressful here, too.
