Passover is over, a nearly didn't happen getaway trip to Dublin for Jay and I has come and gone again, we've said goodbye to my parents, the kids have returned to school, and I'm
.
I'm not going to go into the details here, it still feels too raw for blog fodder, but keep those good thoughts heading towards my mother as she recuperates (we still don't know how much or how long) from a debilitating (and debilitatingly painful) injury.
.
I'll leave you instead with this picture from a very lovely but very chilly Dublin (waving to Mimi whom I had the pleasure of meeting last week), taken while Jay and I were away and my parents were fulfilling the promise to watch their grandchildren which my mother flatly refused to break.

I hope your mom is ok. Will they continue on with their trip as planned?
No, they realized (or rather my mother finally accepted that) it would be much too difficult so they cancelled and flew straight home from here. She's pretty disappointed but finally realizes what my father had been telling her for weeks, that it just wasn't realistic right now.
Wow, what a change of scenery.
Glad you could get away. Glad you are back and settling down to blessed routine.
Your mother was brave to come.
Fantastic! Oh, my Canon and I could feast on just what I can see in this frame. Wow.
Please send your mom my very best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. I'll keep good thoughts for her.
Your photos and writing was missed. Glad to see you are back and thinking good thoughts for your mother. Linda

Glad you got to go on your trip, but I hope things will improve for your mom. My own mom has a habit of thinking that because her disability cheque turned into a retirement cheque, her health issues are magically downgraded (?!?) It can be a challenge to get her to look after herself.
Sending good thoughts to your mom (and dad who I am sure was stressed) and loving the photo ..
I hope your Mom is doing better. Please tell her I became a member at Altrusa last night!
Glad to hear you got to go to Dublin and I hope your Mom recovers quickly!
