well, yes, Ireland does get a fair bit of rain..'soft' days as they say.
Don't laugh. I've seen water bikes that had huge flotation tires. Well, they were actually trikes, but you could peddle across the water.
Ah, the Emerald Isle where the shamrock is revered and the wearing of the green is a hallowed tradition. How do you think things stay so green?
Quite a boggy ride perhaps the bicycles for hire all sank beneath the pond scum or are buried beneath the peat...
Probably best to hire someone who knows what he/she is doing to ride around soggy ground :)
