Just to the left of the Campanile I showed you yesterday is this delightful building (which thanks to Heckety I now know is called the Graduate Memorial Building), also part of Dublin's Trinity College. I think I'd literally feel smarter studying history in a building that looked like that, wouldn't you?

Look here for more doors and windows from around the world.

I agree, I feel smarter just looking at it.
I feel smarter just looking at a building like that one. Would love to sit there and draw that building.
I don't know if it's the building or the light, but this has the same metallic look at the tower from yesterday. It's fascinating! I love it.
It's very pretty building. I think the sun makes the color of the building so fascinating. Happy Wednesday!
ABC Wednesday~M
It's a wonderful photo, Robin. You captured it beautifully, and got lovely reflections on the windows. I think this is the building that featured in the film Educating Rita- a good watch sometime!
That's a lovely photograph! My folks would love it too.Did you know some of Trinity was used in one of the Star Wars films too?!
I did in fact - when we visited the Book of Kells and the Long Room Library they said it was the site of the Jedi Counsel or something in the Clone Wars movie. I never saw the movie but it's certainly one heck of a room.
One wonderful building.
I would feel honored to stand in front of that incredible building, Robin. Thanks for posting it! :)
It looks so elegant!
What a beautiful and stately looking building! I DO feel smarter!
The architecture (both pics) is pretty impressive. I think just standing on campus would intimidate me!
Such a beautiful building!
Indeed, places of higher learning ought to be housed in imposing edifices. Great shot.
Ha, good point.
I once studied history a long time ago, and I would agree that studying history in a nice historical building might make one feel smarter, but feeling and being are two different things. : )
I love how it's gray, but it's certainly not dull!
lovely robin! why is it that there's absolutely *nothing* like "old stuff?" (how's that for eloquent?!) old buildings, old photographs, old letters. good for the mind, good for the soul. thanks for the reminder.
If you are interested, its called the Graduate Memorial Building.
