TT - Things I didn't manage to get done this week, and why

Here are thirteen things I should have accomplished this week and didn't, because I was too busy having bronchitis, followed by a severe allergic reaction to the bronchitis medication. It's been a barrel of laughs around here lately I tell ya...

This is what I should have done this week - thank heavens for a terrific husband who brought the kids to school each morning and came home early each afternoon to get them:

1. Worked something vaguely resembling my normal number of hours (I work from home by the hour - I don't work, I don't get paid)

2. Grocery shopped

3. Taken Maya to speech

4. Taken Itai to soccer - twice

5. Taken Maya to the doctor to have some birthmarks that seem to be growing looked at

6. Gotten my hair colored - I'm starting to bear a distinct and very unflattering resemblance to Pepe Le Pew

7. Gone to the gym - twice

8. Finished the laundry I started 3 days ago, and kept up with the rest

9. Taken Maya to her sports class

10. Gotten the right headlight on my car replaced

11. Dealt with an outstanding tax issue

12. Paid Itai's school insurance (in person at city hall)

13. Any one of a thousand other things that a mom does each week

Next week's got to get better, right? I have to be due for a break already.

  5. No, no, you should NOT go to the gym when you're sick; you'll only feel worse and cough harder. Trust me.

I'm just glad you're on the mend.

  40. I would've done a list like that, only I wouldn't have been able to stop at 13. :-)

Happy TT and thanks for stopping by.

  41. I hope that you are feeling better now, and so sorry that you had a bad reaction to the meds. Blah.

I just had to leave you a note. The comment that you left here cracked me up. Also, "Your baby's right to eat when hungry trumps an adult's need to feel comfortable looking in every single direction they choose at every moment" was very well worded. I think sometimes people are too obsessed with themselves.

Hope you can get caught up with the laundry before it takes over the house (I hate that!).

  42. Hope you're feeling better and were able to get a good night's rest. Sleep always changes everything. I should probably take my own advice. I like the Pepe association.

  43. Productive week. I had one too, but I am so happy that tomorrow is FRIDAY!

    Happy TT!

  44. Don't you know that moms are NOT allowed to get sick because all hell breaks lose and the life as your family knows it ceases to exist??! I hope that you get better VERY soon. I know how hard it is to be out of commision and see all of those chores and what-not add up.

  45. We all have those weeks just when we don't need them. I hope you feel better soon, I'm on my way to well and will leave plenty of room for you to follow. :)

  46. Good list -- I could do "13 things I didn't get to today" everyday. :P Moms shouldn't get sick -- that would be a good rule. Thanks for sharing your list -- enjoyed it!

  47. Wow, I hope you feel better soon. When I get sick, I curl up into a ball and sleep, and don't get anything at all done.

  48. Awwww...Robin, I hope you are feeling better.

I've got to get my hair done badly too.
I hope everything is OK with Maya and her birthmarks.

You know what don't worry about all the things you didn't get done, you definetly deserve a break!

  50. I periodically suffer from chronic bronchitis so I can relate to your situation. The image of you resembling Pepe Le Pew made me laugh... maybe you could start a new hairstyling trend.

By the way, I provided the answers to my TT about Jack Nicholson movie quotes in the comments section of the post.
