This is a "lighter" design than I'd expect to see in most places in Jaffa -- or Israel in general for that matter. It looks more modern than what I'm used to. But it's still quite striking and your treatment of it (and the sky behind it) is superb!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the history of the church (all I could see from my vantage point was the steeple) but I believe it is fairly modern. I believe it lies just outside the boundaries of the Old City as well.
ReplyDeleteOld Jaffa....I recall a well in a large stone-paved courtyard, and slender cats with long legs and very raspy meows...I hope you will show us more of Old Jaffa!
