Happy Independence Day

.
We're too busy having fun for a big long post today. After we've recuperated (i.e. cleaned up the house) from last night's festivities we'll swing by our town's celebrations for an hour and then out to a barbecue with a bunch of good friends.
.
All in all, a great way to spend one of my favorite holidays.
.
Happy 61st birthday Israel.

The JCC is holding a pretend trip to Israel tomorrow - airplane flight and all. My daughter is SO excited about going...

Happy 61st! Wish we were there to celebrate.

Wow. Israel and India are almost exactly the same age. I never realized that before. The two have been around so long that I forget that the countries we know today were only recently established.

Vandhe Mataram (I know, it's Hindi but I don't know how to say "Hail Motherland" in Hebrew.)
