I agree with much that has already been said, so what is left to say? I don't see olive trees in Cincinnati. I love the remark about the trunk being pitted.
There is such an other worldly feel about this photo. The tangle of the branches combined with the fog and the little rock wall are simply too enchanting. ~ Calico Contemplations

Totally in love! I could decorate my whole house with Robin originals! You are so very talented, with the camera and the computer.
what a tree! I think olive trees are very fascinating--I agree with Shannon, I could hang some Robin Originals myself.
It looks as if your photo itself is from a long-gone time, a time of mists.
Many faces seems to be peering out of the living trunk.
Straight out of The Wizard of Oz! Awesome shot Robin!
Really fantastic photo.
what a great old tree, mother nature certainly gives us amazing treasures!
I love that tree, it's so gnarly and old.
What an amazing tree. It would be very fascinating to just walk around, viewing different parts and angles. Great shot, Robin! :D
What a beautiful shot of a beautiful, ancient tree! While living in the north,we had plenty of those around ,and they look amazing!
This tree has a fairy tale quality to it. I expect a troll lives in it's roots.
Kind of ironic how its bark is pitted ;) I love olives. I wish we had planted some 20 years ago when we moved here.
We both did trees this week. Yours is misty and mysterious, mine is bright and sunny.
It certainly seems to have gone through years of trials and tribulations.
What a beautiful tree and photo! The colors in the photo are so beautiful. I love those shades of green and purple.
What a beautiful tree!!! It looks like it belongs in a storybook, love it!
Beautiful picture!

What a great picture! I didn't even know what an olive tree looked like. Looks kind of spooky! ;)
Is she just magnificent!!! Thanks for sharing. - MaLinda
Robin, I love olive wood. Have several things made for the olive trees. Love to see there are still some old hardy ones around. Happy WW
I love this unusual tree and the old look of the photo! Good job! I'm back posting for Wordless Wednesday! :)
Very impressive old tree. It must have seen a lot of history as all those knots and curves were forming.
I really like the texture, and the soft background.

Lovely! It really does look wise and ancient, and I like the misty quality to the shot.
I heard this morning on NPR about damage to olive trees in Israel...this one is just gorgeous and safe, I hope!
Mysterious and marvelous view of this wonderful old tree ;-)
Hugs and blessings,

It looks wonderfully old and gnarly!
What did you do to that photo, it looks like an illustration, a pen/ink illustration I LOVE IT
Gorgeous tree! I'm up as well. I had no idea olives grew on trees.

This is the first olive tree I've noticed... I'm sure I've seen them before on tv or photos, but yours is pretty cool. What are all those holes?
If you swing by my blog you'll see something "special" in my tree.

I love what you did here. There seem to be human forms trapped inside that tree and attempting to dance. So beautiful. Amazing.
That is a great photo!
Happy WW!
Beautiful ancient tree.Wonderful photo.
Blessings,

Very cool photo. I wonder how old it actually is. I have this tree thing.
I can see some ancient gods playing around this one. The tree is a beauty and remembers a lot. I really like the mystical tone!
That is a magnificent tree. And I love he atmosphere the cloudiness creates.
