Hot off thepress camera - shot this one this morning and loved it so much that it went straight to my etsy shop! Those pink petals really pop against the black background, and the faint checkerboard pattern on the petals (how does Mother Nature do that anyway?) add some great depth and texture to the image.

I'm a longtime Deadhead Dina, I used to follow them up and down the east coast when I lived in the States. St. Stephen has always been one of my favorite Dead tunes.
Just went and read your answer Dina - you just missed it, it was first played in May 1968 :).

Mums and Dahlias have different shaped petals and the center is not so pronounced .. definitely a Gerber
