Are they called bales? I can't remember. After 20 years of living a bilingual life my English is not what it once was (so it of course makes sense that I work as an editor, doesn't it LOL).

I dunno what they are called (and never did), but they make a colorful picture.
I love this photograph! The colours are so clear they almost leap at you! And the caves below are spectacular too. There are caves about an hour from here and 18 months ago a group of vandals broke in at night and smashed all the stalagtites and stalagmites they could reach...thousands of years in the making, and....gone. Unbelieveable.
I don't know but there are lots of nice colors and patterns.

In the Philippines we call it rolls I don't know here in US lol!!Whatever the name is we don't care lol!! I love the colors I can see myself sewing for my pillow cases with those fabric.

The rubies in the materials are nice, all nice looking patterns. I'd love to be of the means where I could purchase custom made draperies, slip covers and such. I'd pick the material, the artist could produce the custom art. Alas, a dream...but a fine post!
Beautiful blots or rolls, I would say, of summer fabric.

Beautiful bolts of fabric. I used to enjoy visiting some discount fabric warehouses in New Jersey with a friend, but sadly, the best one closed. I would love to learn to sew, but since it's now so hard to get fabric, I gave up.

I love sewing materials. That looks like really fun material to make things out of.
(Bolts or bales? Who knows! I usually look it up in the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary. By the way, I sympathise with you about feeling a little rusty writing English. I sit in a similar boat. I don't work as an editor. But I dream about getting published.)

Bolts of fabric .. or rolls .. cotton is baled, tobacco is baled, I think ... fabrics are bolted or rolled .. fish gotta swim birds gotta fly .. oh wait that's a whole other song .. ;-)

nonzamboni, has it right - bolts of fabric... Yes pretty REDs, Robin. Bales of cotton - big and round and laying out in the fields. I was an indexer for many, many years... worked for many different publishing companies in the U.S. as well as the U.N. :)
