Summer Stock - The Galloping Banana

.

Ask my kids what they love best about New Hampshire and they're very likely to say tubing, riding what Maya named last year "The Galloping Banana". (The first time she rode it she yelled in my ear that it was like riding a galloping banana and well, the name just stuck.)

Itai is Mr. Speed - all he wants is faster, bumpier, wilder - all the time.

Maya was very tentative her first ride but by the second time, just a few minutes later, she was well into the swing of things signalling "Faster Grandpa, faster!"

Note how well they're rockin' the old skool life jackets - each year we say we're going to get some new ones but it never seems to happen and in the meantime they're not complaining.

As you can see from both the photos and the scarcity of posting these past days we're having a fantastic time here in New Hampshire, most of it outside, far away from computer screens, photo editing software, and desks.

How's your summer going?

Wow, what fun! I've never seen this tubing.
Meanwhile the only wetness here around Jerusalem is the sweat running down. It is ridiculously hot and humid for the past week.

You have a great time in that water and enjoy every blessed minute with your folks.

My Summer? Except for the week in Hawaii, it has been pretty wet, cloudy and gray.

Love these shots, Robin! Glad to see you're having a great time just hollering distance away from me.

*waving*

I've been enjoying the summer because I'm on a creative roll, which means I've spent a lot of time at the computer. But I don't mind in the least. I still get time in the garden and at the ocean.

Who could complain when you get to ride a "galloping banana?" I love that description! Hope y'all are having a great time.

Oh, what a PERFECT way to beat the heat! Water and speed... fantastic. I'm so glad you're having a good visit. It's nice to unplug once in a while.

Summer's going well here in NC - albeit super hot and humid. Plenty of iced tea and good company have taken our minds off the heat, though.
