Monday, Monday

Remember that song?

What is it about Mondays that drag us down so? Monday isn't even the first day of my week (the week runs Sunday to Thursday here) and I still can't get my act together. I stare woozily at the piles of work awaiting me, unable to take that first step and begin writing. I got plenty of enough sleep, have had lots of coffee and a decent breakfast and I'm still sitting here feeling like I've been hit by a truck.

I've blogged, surfed, checked my e-mail, drank yet another cup of iced coffee, if I don't manage to get to work soon I'm going to have to go do laundry!

What do you do when your nose simply refuses to press itself to the grindstone?

I try and do something, anything with a pleasurable result (like clean the coffee pot and then drink a fresh cup) to get myself moving and once in motion, I can usually continue on with the work I need to do.

My (work) weekday starts on Saturday here so Monday is my third day of working..but still I get slumped sometimes. What I do is read blogs or make a weekly meal plan...if the slumping persists, I'd grab a chocolate. :-)

I have no answers, I'm still half-asleep.

Ya know, I'm not sure. Turn on some music and suck it up, I guess.

I think it's time to take a nap. :)

It's 9:00 in the morning here and I've accomplished nothing - and yes, I'm at work. HA!

I go for a ride, or make lists, but usually just go for a ride. ;) Sometimes it's the most productive thing I can do.

Do you work from home?

Yes, I do, which is a great solution for me, 95% of the time.

Hit enter too quickly LOL.

The rest of the time, it's less helpful, like today when there are just too many distractions, or next week, when the kids are off but I don't have any paid vacation. DH will have to take time off (paid) so that I can work a full (part-time) week. Good sense financially, but leaves me feeling like I didn't get much of a break...

Oh, that was me yesterday (Sunday). I usually just give-in and think, "tomorrow's another day!"
