Allenby Street Window

I love this second story window along Tel Aviv's Allenby Street with its cheeky little round balcony perched on top. Both the neighborhood and the building have clearly seen better days but I think that the structure has a lot of potential, if only someone would come along and give it the TLC it needs.

Nice picture Robin! There are so many nice things in those houses along Allenby, even though most of them look quite worn out.

You are right - it certainly needs some TLC!

Nice windows! They must give grand views in all directions, not just the building across the street. As Mary's windows, burial customs and times differ greatly - think of Michael Jackson's resting place!

Renovating a beautiful old place is one of my favorite daydreams. Of course I know plenty of people who have done that in reality and have to live with old radiators, leaky pipes and toxic fumes... But it's my daydream so I'll just focus on my sunny bay window, thanks!

I love old buildings, probably because my husband is just about obsessed by them. We can't drive downtown in our city without driving by "his" building (the one he wants to buy and renovate). This one has such a lovely shape.

Very beautiful architectural decision! Many old houses looked like this in my home town in Bulgaria, but then when the country entered the EU they gave money to restore the facades - they look so fresh and pretty now - at least for few years. This beauty has potential - I agree - but it is not easy to come across money :)

I looked at this and the first thing I thought was 'thats a lot of wires' then I thought 'that building needs to be power washed' .. how sad it looks .. but what an excellent photo!

you're right, it needs TLC. But it is cheeky. It almost looks like it's on upside down. and don't you just love those little air-conditioning units sticking out?

Love the architectural structure of this window and hope it gets the TLC it deserves! I've missed a few weeks but did get my act together this morning and posted at Sacred Ruminations ;--)

Old architecture always draws me. Yep, if someone would give that place some TLC it would be spectacular. Fun photo, though. Look at all the wires underneath it! Bwahaha! Looks like the way I would rig wiring.

Yes, what a nice old window. Looks like the whole scene could use a good scrubbing. And then if some rich person could pay to put all the wires underground, wow, would that be a great look.

Hi Robin! I'm so late in getting around to window views. Sheesh! I really enjoyed this photo from Tel Aviv. The architecture is great and it would be really cool with a few things touched up like getting rid of all the wires and window a/c units. Hope all is well...
