Endings

Mordechai died this week. I walked by his home this evening and saw the notices posted and the people gathered to pay their respects.

He was a real fixture in the neighborhood, a steady, reassuring sight. His presence will be missed.

May his memory be a blessing to those who knew him.

Sorry the neighborhood and you and the pigeons lost Mordechai, z"l.
He lives on in your nice previous post.
Our village's rabbi died a few weeks ago. It is sad when we lose the old-timers.
Someday we will be the vatikim.

I came back to visit today and see this post. Although I am an occasional visitor I knew immediately this was your neighbor because I remember well the post about him. I am sorry for the loss and recognize from my own experiences that those kinds of transitions of change are hard to let go of. We have lost several "steady reassuring persons" in our lives and it is always hard to see them go. Blessings to you and your neighborhood.
