So. Here it is. I'm not exactly sure how this happened but suddenly summer is ending and with it Summer Stock Sunday 2009. I don't know about you, but my summer just flew by. It seems like just the other day that temperatures were heating up and we were all beginning to look towards the sun and now here we are watching those hazy lazy crazy days of summer draw to a close. I hope you've all had as much fun with this project, and with your summer, as I have and that Summer Stock has helped you to capture some of those fleeting memories to take out again and warm your soul when the nights are long and you begin to wonder if you'll ever feel the heat again.
.
Thank you all for taking part all summer long and making my little idea a success. I look forward to seeing everyone's final posts, and even more than that I look forward to welcoming summer back with all of you when we kick off Summer Stock Sunday 2010!
.
Here's to many more sunny days ahead.

When you first announced this meme, I thought, oh, I'll do it a few times. Well, I've really enjoyed doing it! I'm not a big fan of summer (I don't like the heat), so posting something fun each week helps find the best of it all.

Your sunset is a beauty.

No Mr. Linky? 44th of 44 and Persepolis

Sorry, forgot to add the extra "2" in the linkie code. It's there now, I'll add you both in.

PS It's actually a sunrise, but since it looks like a sunset I decided it would be a good finale image.

A great photo. I love the tree silhouette, and the floats trailing out into the lake.

We jumped into summer with gusto this year, right back at the beginning. This has been a wonderful way to watch it come to a close. Thank you.

I'll miss Summer Stock - this is the first meme I ever participated in. Thank you for hosting it - not sleeping till late to fight with Mr Linky, even through house painting, traveling you managed to set it up for us. It was very interesting and positive, inspiring experience. Thank you!

a perfect image to end the summer with. Thanks for inviting me to play along. I enjoyed seeing what everyone else was doing for the summer.

I love your sunset, Robin. It's appropriate for the last post of Summer Stock Sunday.

Sunrise, sunset, swiftly fly the days ... as Tevye sang.

Our neighbors the monks had a forest fire yesterday. It occurs to me now that fires are part of summer too, so I'll put in the link for you all. It was way too dramatic and too close to home.

Thanks for starting and doing this meme, Robin. It was good.

I still say that sometime a few months from now when we're all shivering in front of the fire, we're gonna wish we still had this theme to keep us thinking warm thoughts.

It's been fun... even if I have had trouble remembering to post for it sometimes.

p.s. I say GO FOR IT! regarding Fall Follies and Winter Wonderland. There is no season more fun to photograph than autumn, and none more challenging and intriguing than winter. None more tender than spring, for that matter. And I'd love to see your green fields and flowers in January. :-) Fall through spring is when the global diversity is most fascinating to virtually experience. Broad hint! :-)

Thank you so much for hosting this wonderful photo meme, Robin. It made me more aware of my summer, and I made sure to savour it.

Really lovely sunset photo. The sun feels warm right through the computer screen.

it was a really fun weekly project. i think i only made it in a few times but i enjoyed seeing your pictures and thinking about embodying "Summer" in my photographs.

Thanks for doing it - I'll be back way before next year but I'll also be back next year:-) (if that makes any sense)

This summer was the least summery of any I've ever had. Selling, buying, drugs; don't add the surgery and it sounds like the 70s again ;-)

At the beginning of the summer I planned on participating every week. I only managed a few, but always enjoyed checking in and seeing all those great photos.

I think I'm starting to get used to (or at least accept) the Israel heat. It was a great summer, and a great Summer Stock. I hope you do it again next year....

Shana Tova Umetukah to you and your family.

I am a bit sad this meme is coming to an end, just as our summer is starting, almost. I never really planned to post each week but I managed it most weeks and enjoyed doing so. Thanks for being a great host. i shall miss all of you.
