A jet black stone to set off the rest
.

For my regular readers wondering where all the words have gone do not lose hope, I've got plenty of them in various stages of completion waiting to be posted, perhaps even as soon as later today. Oh and if you were curious (and even if you weren't), the stone tiles shown here are from my master bathroom. The mosaic strip runs at chest height around three walls, including right through the glassed off shower. On the fourth wall there is a large mirror set directly into the wall which is "framed" by the same mosaic strip. It looks fantastic but the angles make it difficult to photograph so you'll just have to use your imaginations.

I like! Nice angle, great mosaic. Great way to take the everyday and make it special. Love all those rusty reds.
Very nice. I like the angle you shot for this project, but would love to see the rest from a decorating interest =)
I'll see what I can do Nancy, but not until Thursday when my cleaner's been here and the whole thing looks all bright and sparkly. That way I won't have to show you all what a slovenly housekeeper I normally am LOL.
I love how the mosaic line continues all the way throughout the picture. Even though the point of focus is near, I find my eye following that line. Nice find for black!
LOVE the earthy colors. Very soothing and grounding.
When you see what I'm working on right now, you'll understand why part of me is screaming TMI!!! :D
Oh... excellent shot! You nailed it! Your key in the previous post is way cool, too!
I love tumbled stone titles and your colors.
Those colors are fantastic. It's sort of interesting, my bathroom is done in very similar colors - but in a 1987 sort of way, which is very unappealing.
How fun to pull that little big of contrasting black for your shot. Nice angle. :D
My second offering is here: http://photo-bunny.blogspot.com/2008/07/project-black-take-two-another-old.html

your master bath must be beautiful
I love all the colors in this - the pop of black just makes it interesting!
I love this picture! This also makes me envy your bathroom.

That mosaic strip is beautiful, even when it blurs out to circles :-)
