Here's my tip for the week - always, and I mean ALWAYS, keep a package of wipes in the trunk of your car, even if your children are long past diaper age. Oh, and a change of clothes for each kid, a large bottle of water or two and a few extra plastic bags too.
Don't ask me why I know this, take it from me, you don't want to know. Just learn from my mistakes and find yourself well prepared when disaster strikes.
Trust me on this one.

I can just imagine how you know...lol...I always make sure there is a pack of wipes in the car as well as plastic bags.
So begging you for the story behind this won't do us any good? Maybe you're just protecting us from being exposed to something we couldn't handle?
Trust me, you really, REALLY don't want this one... Suffice it to say that bodily fluids were expelled, all over the damn place, and it was very late at night, on a dark deserted road, miles from the nearest source of running water. And we were woefully unprepared. WOEFULLY.
I can't agree with this one more. Really... I understand EXACTLY what you're talking about and we've been there. It makes me stomach turn just to think about it.
I always keep wipes in my car. Always, and I have water in the trunk as well as a change of clothes for the twins.........learned a lesson the hard way, too! :)
once you've had wipes in the car, seems like they're simply a necessity!
I just can not imagine life without wipes. I do this too. I will forever keep wipes in my car.
I never carried wipes around before baby, and it's amazing how handy they are for everything else besides baby! I just mentioned to husband that we will be carrying them around well into our retirement years.
Hi! Great tip! I ALWAYS have babywipes with my EVERYWHERE! I go as far as keeping a box in my car, every bathroom, the kitchen...each floor of my house has at least 2 boxes somewhere... They have so many uses! I'm a teacher and I require on the supply list 3 boxes per child. They clean up any mess!
Happy cleaning!
Awesome Idea! My kids are older, but still spill something or get sticky.
I have a large gardening tote in my minivan full of emergency supplies. Baby wipes, paper towels, Kleenex, (yikes, should probably stick in a few pullups), sunscreen, germ gel, hand cream, you name it. Oh, a big flashlight. I have sooo learned my lesson; you must have a well-stocked car kit if you have kids.
Brilliant tip! I try to do the same but often find I have failed. Those are dark days:)
Great post and I can relate! You might add a roll of toilet paper too. (Experience dictates).
Excellent suggestion anon.
