Hi Bobbie. It is terrazzo - it's the (very leaky not particularly attractive and too expensive to replace so we're stuck resealing it next week) floor of our roof patio.

What's even more fun here is that the object which cast the shadow is not in fact a ladder at all - it's a metal fence with vertical bars :).
