I took this natural monochrome in the very dim interior of the Notre-Dame de L'Arche d'Alliance church in Abu Ghosh on Friday. I was taken by the way these windows high up on a wall seemed almost to "float" in the darkness but what really delighted me was something I never noticed at all until I got home and began sorting through my images from the day's photowalk. Click on the image to enlarge it and then look in the top right corner of the window to see what a fun little surprise I received.

Strange window, strange effect. Seems like it faces concrete.
And what IS it about those little critters that they stick to church windows?! Just yesterday I made a draft post of one of them clinging to a chapel window.
Nice warm spot with food flying by. Spiders don't get a look-in.
Nice photo and effect:-)
Have a nice sunday!
Very geometric. Love the blackness of the setting.
Very interesting effect in this photo.
Great effect Robin!
Have a nice week! :)
Wonderful! Simplicity rules. Fabulous shot.
Well you know what I'd think, ha..this is what makes it worthwhile. Nice one Robin!
I love this shot and the insects in the window are a fun surprise.
Very atmospheric, they really do look like they are floating.
Nice, Robin. The lizards were indeed a bonus!
Wow..that is so cool!
Hi Robin, who would think that a simple window would make a nice mono effect.
Neat windows and it looks great in black and white!
Lots of black in this b&w. And a window, too! Guess you and I were visited by the same photo muse.
Cool effect here Robin!! Love the lizards!!
What a lovely surprise! Lizards are so attractive.
They look like very large ants in those cobwebs...:-/
Love the square box style of the window.....
Did anything fall on your head in there?..lol
Very dramatic photo! Love the little critters in the corner.
Love this shot. Cute friends you have there.
THE perfect example of less is more!
Yeah, what Daryl said.
And either that's a really small window, or those are really, really big bugs!
Nice post! And thanks for visiting my blog :o)
Wow! I really like the stark lighting and shading in this one. Just a series of squares set against the darkness.
