My New Best Friend

.
.
I admit that it bears an uncanny resemblance to a snail wearing a space helmet, but it makes damn good coffee, and those cute little pods mean fresh tasting coffee with no grinding and NO MESS to clean up. Hurray for no mess. Better yet, it tastes like actual coffee not like the brown dishwater that my old filter pot was spewing out (and using DOUBLE the amount of coffee that it was supposed to to do so). Win!

.
And of course, it's red. It's not a book, because I forgot we were doing that this week, but it is in fact irrefutably red.

I don't recall if I commented on your previous post or not ... but just in case I'll say here that I love this silhouetted fishing shot! As for today's unique coffee pot ... I've never seen such a thing, but if the coffee tastes good and there's no mess to clean up ... I may be looking to acquire one myself.
Hugs and blessings,

That is one fancy coffee maker!!

It's an espresso machine, and the extra arm on the right is for frothing milk for cappucinos :).

Suki said...

Oh I just love all of it! ITs colour and its shape. Never seen such a gadget however.

Jael said...

Wow,that is pretty!

Mojo said...

Oh now I am jealous. Your own espresso machine? I SO need one of those. Preferably one that does the whole grindy/brewy/wakey-wakey thing on auto-timer.

What's the bit about the book? (He said, with his usual puzzled look.)

Robin said...

(Mary had suggested red books for this week's RT, but no worries, it's all good.)

Is it a Nespresso? Looks very sexy.

Robin said...

Not a Nespresso, but similar. It's from Espresso Club and uses Caffitaly-style pods that are available from many different sources.

That's awesome! I don't know what else to say, I've never seen anything like it. It should make lie around the island even more interesting.

Look at that red beauty! It makes everything else look so faded ;-)

omigosh. that is such a COOL design.

My own kitchen is red and white as well but I'm afraid my gadgets aren't quite so high class!

Dimple said...

Very sleek and red! And your description is a hoot, but true! Since it also brews good coffee it's definitely a keeper!

So cool and futuristic.
I love coffee and I love my ten year old black espresso machine. I hate all the fuss and mess and cleaning up afterward.
Maybe, someday I'll reinvest.

Robin, I looked at it for a while before I read your post to find out what in the world it was! A coffee machine! Holy Moly, never seen such a gadget! It's beautiful and RED and so so shiny! But it better make a good cup of coffee... Happy Ruby Tuesday! :)

I couldn't identify it at first either but I am convinced it makes wonderful coffee.

I bet being red helps the coffee taste better too. LOL

That is so cool! And so red! It almost looks like something (or someone) out of Star Wars :)
Enjoy!

Coffee, eh? I wonder how long it'll take before something this wonderful is sold in Canada.

I totally forgot about the book theme. oh well...I need a freshly brewed cup of joe please....:)

It looks like a little red elephant! Awesome! Nothing can beat a good espresso!

I absolutely LOVED the silhouette picture below. How wonderful you had such a good weekend again!

Ralph said...

What a ruby! Who would need caffeine in the AM, just one look at this would wake me up. And I see the wonderful cappuccino steamer, so I am ready for a special cup of Joe!

The aliens have landed on Robin's counter!

Oh, it's a coffeemaker that makes a good cuppa coffee. Very cool.

I love its ruby redness~

I forgot about the book assignment too.

Splendid RT post, Robin! Yes, irrefutably RED!
One little tip, descale it regularly- mine (not cool red like yours) has siezed up due to scale, I'll have to bring it to the repair shop now....or buy a new (red) one! Just joking!

Oh. I want that. Now would be great. I need to track one down. That is beautiful. The no-mess speaks to me. Every time I grind, I think, "It better taste darn good." No mess. Less coffee. I am hypnotized!

Beautiful thing.

Ivanhoe said...

So pretty and so shinny. I never saw a coffee maker quite that shape. Happy RT! :o)

Love the reference to the snail. :)
A beautiful shiny red for sure!

Wow I am jealous - great coffee and nice to look at too :)

That is one serious coffee machine. At first glance I thought Cuisinart or Kitchen Aid had come up with some upside-down gadget that mixed things in a neat fashion.

With how pretty it looks, I bet you can drink coffee a lot hehehe.

That is some coffee maker. Never saw that design. The color is fabulous. I have Keurig, it's design is not quite so fabulous, but it does make good coffee!

Thanks for stopping by!

Marice said...

your description is funny! :) but i love its shade of red :)

u may view mine here

Kate Coveny Hood said...

I have never seen anything like that before. We don't make coffee every day and when we do, we just use a press! I wouldn't even begin to guess where the coffee comes out of that.

Jew Wishes said...

Ahh, I smell the scent of coffee brewing in this beautiful photo of brilliant red tones.

Does it brew at a snail's pace? Kidding.

Amanda Moore said...

Let me guess you were looking for something you could find in the dark?
OK OK I'll be nice, it is very pretty but since I don't drink *gasp* coffee pretty is as far as it goes for me. Now as for the no mess thingie that scores 100 with me, anything that eliminates the mess is well worth the purchase!
Have a really red RT Robin!

That is gorgeous in a futuristic caffeine-loaded kinda way. :) I forgot about the book thing too, but since I can't sit down to read without a coffee in hand, your photo works great for me! :)

Such a cute coffemachine, I would like one of thoose.

Love the color! I know the feeling about good coffee. I bought a Keurig coffee machine a couple years ago and I don't know I drank coffee before!
