Happy Passover (and Easter too)

My parents are visiting from the US, the kids are on vacation, and I'm hosting Passover Seder for twenty Monday night so as you can imagine the holiday chaos is in full gear around the island and blogging time is in very short supply.

My very best wishes for a happy and meaningful holiday to all those celebrating this week.

I'll leave you for now with this, captured on a walk around town with my new D7000 (finally! yay!!) and new nifty-fifty portrait lens. I cannot wait to get out on a real photo shoot and put this thing through its paces. There's a bit of a learning curve but so far I am loving what I'm seeing.

Have a great holiday week and happy springtime to everyone!

You captured wonderful colors with your new camera. It's a beautiful photo. Thank you for the Easter greetings, and happy Passover to you. Sounds like you have a houseful this week and may it be a time of blessing and happiness, chaotic perhaps, but full of love and family.

I agree, that if you do a photo like this one before you've figured out your new camera, then I can hardly wait to see what you do after!

Good Pesach,

Kate

Happy Passover to you, too! Hosting a seder for 20+ is quite an undertaking.

And great photo of the flowers with your new camera.

Congrats on the new camera! This is a fabulous shot, I love the flowers at this time of year, it's so reassuring to see that winter does finally end ...

Thanks for this is a lovely photo. Poppies are among my favourite flowers. I have family in Italy and always try to visit in the spring, just for the wild flowers. One of my favourite photos is of an olive grove full of poppies.

You have a new camera!? Wow! Your photography hobby turned biz have really taken off!

I love these red spring flowers! I can stare at them all day. Sadly, none here in Dubai.
