Still Not Dead, July 2012 edition (aka holy moley I did it!)

If you've been reading here for a while, you'll understand what a tremendous accomplishment this is...

And yes, this really is from this year. It's blooming on my island as we speak. YAY ME! (I was tempted to photograph it with the front page of today's newspaper as proof but we never buy an actual paper anymore.)

Click here to see how stunning this looks as a framed and matted print.

It is absolutely stunning! I have never yet had an orchid, and if I had,it would probably not survive for that long...

gorgeous .. so the secret is benign neglect, right? i discovered not watering while blooming leads to longer lasting flowers ..

Wow! well done Robin, you're into toddlerhood with this now!
I clicked through to your shop and it is really beautiful, especially with the red frame.

I love orchids, they are perfect for my kind of indoor garnering. Trope plants originally. I let them stay in the easr window and soak them once a month. They are always so grateful, repay me with beautiful flowers. My mothers get "drowned" every fortnight, they live in a south bent window. I give them water every time I visit. Yesterday they were blooming like wonders.
Never ever got so beautiful pictures a you do though.

Growing orchids is tricky business, and look how this one is thriving! It is so incredibly beautiful, and as always, beautifully captured by your lens!

Robin! I saw your thumnail over at Angie's and had to stop by and say hi (and see your GORGEOUS photograph). I have been so busy with writing and other things that I haven't been blogging/reading blogs like I used to, but it is so nice to stop by and "see" you again! I hope you are doing well!

I hope I don't kill it by just looking at a picture of it from across the world...

It's beautiful!
I simply won't buy one because I'm afraid I'd kill them. :)

That's a beautiful bloom! It shows up so well with that background colour. My orchid plant surprises me. One year there were several white blooms on one stem after I came back from holiday, but unfortunately they've died off. At least, I have a photo of the plant.
