I love photos like that...I have one from Japan with a temple gate in the foreground and a high rise in the background. I just love that combination of old and new!

An interesting photo it makes the viewer think. This is a really good shot not just aesthetically but subject-wise as well I cannot wait to see what else comes up in your Old World Contrast!
Hey Robin! I was overwhelmed by the number of links on WW, but as soon as I saw "Robin from Israel" I knew which one to click on!
I love this photo you took! How do you do it without people noticing? Maybe you just blend in with all the tourists snapping away?
My WW is some photos outside the US Holocaust Memorial Museum this time. I pray that as our President travels to the middle east, he retains clarity of vision and wisdom in his purpose.
Contrast? Wha... OH! sorry, I was distracted for a moment there. I'm guessing the young woman in the photo probably gets a lot of that.
But you cannot expect to get away with not dishing some details on that hat the guy in the black coat is wearing. It can't possibly be cold enough to warrant a fur hat this time of year, and I doubt there are very many "puckheads" in Israel (and even fewer that would wear the headgear out in public) so there's got to be some other explanation for this choice. So what gives?
