A happy, healthy, peaceful New Year to all.
..
After a festive holiday meal tonight (Monday) surrounded by dear friends we consider our "Israel family" we're off in the morning to ring in the New Year with a Rosh Hashana camping trip. The weather's finally cooling off a bit and it's time to inaugurate the tent that (nearly) ate Tel Aviv. When we were in the States we finally got ourselves a tent big enough for all of us and all our gear. We put it up in the living just to see how it all worked and it literally filled the room. It's tall enough to stand up in (hurray, no more squatting down to change!).

Don't believe me? See for yourselves.

This monster even has a "pet hatch". Luckily, we've got a cute pet to stick in there. He does tend to drool a bit though with that tongue hanging out.

Wow. You could probably put the four of us in there with you.
Shana Tova, my friend. May we and our families be inscribed.
Shana tova! May the new year be full of blessing for you and your whole family...
Happy New Year to you and yours! What a marvelous tent - that certainly looks big enough to handle a whole family on a rainy day. Cute pet, too. Does Israel have leash laws like we do here? That might be a concern....
Happy New Year! My mother did a Rosh Hashanah dinner last night - brisket and koogle (spelling?). Good stuff. I'm playing catch up here once again. My schedule was crazy last week but I'm hoping for an easier week so I can visit more and get some posts of my own up. :)
Wow! Now I could probably tolerate camping with a tent like that.
Enjoy your time together. :-)
Shana Tova!
Super camping with that super tent ... very cool.
Have a great trip! Happy Rosh Hashana!
SHANA TOVA!!!!!!!........
Happy Rosh Hashana! Love the tent photos. A great big tent is worth its weight in gold.
A sweet and happy new year to you!
heres wishing you and yours a great new super year!!!
camping IN the house...great idea!
Now that is one cute pet. Where do I get one of those Itai pets?
I wanted Brian to buy a big tent like that all summer but that would have meant that he would have to camp in it. God forbid! Have a wonderful trip!
And happy new year to you all. Many blessings.
L'shana Tova
This brings back wonderful memories. When my oldest son went of to 'real' camp, his brother was jealous, so I set up our tent in the living room for him. I even made 'fake dirt' (torn up newspaper) for him to dig around in with his big Tonka trucks. Fifteen years later, he still brings up our 'camping trip'!
Happy New Year!! Can't wait to hear more about the camping trip.
