When life gives you lemons, in this case in the form of dreadfully dusty, washed-out skies, what else can you do but make sepia-tinted lemonade?
This image of the back gate of the chapel on the Mount of the Beatitudes has been wallowing in my archives for a while now. I absolutely love the ornate ironwork on the gate, but the terribly washed out skies

Love the picture and the way you describe the process.
I have a feeling it would take a lifetime to see your archive gems, one a day.
May health and the sun return soon.
That really is gorgeous - way to go!
Its beautiful and I'll post your link today!
Really love this pic.
you bring me glimpses of so many places I'd love to see but never will. Thanks so much.
I like the way that the lighting turned the photo sepia. We have a lot of gray light in winter and I like the way it turns some of my photos to a near B+W with a hint of colour. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I do understand about dull skies!! And I also remember sick kids! This is a terrific shot! Great to have an archive, isn't it! Hope you have a great weekend with sunny skies and healthy kids!

absolutely gorgeous gate Robin...and I like the yellow sky. I hope your kids feel much better soon and you will be able to go out and enjoy shooting photos on the go.

yes, sometimes if you can't get you want you have to go with what you got. That's a beautiful gate. Appreciate your work photoshopping the wires out.
Oh that gate! I want it. I don't know where I'd put it, but I want it.
Great capture of both the beautiful sky and the amazing fence/gate :)

I'm really touched Kate, I'd love to see what you write if you'd like to share.
