This firework display is on the ground and not in the sky. The exploding flower has no explosives, nor a loud boom that follows. It is a dignified firework that is smaller and not filling the heavens - yet is as powerful in its beauty...Happy July 4!

That's an amazing flower - captured perfectly by you! We both can celebrate the freedom to blog whatever we please without fear... that's pretty incredible when you think about it! :-)

Chrysanthemum? Brilliant!

RED OR YELLOW?

If you have a penchant for red,
Then scarlet will go to your head;
But if it is gold
You’d rather behold,
Then plant yellow roses instead.

I love your original ways of capturing the
beauty of the ordinary; that is, fi a wonderful flower can be said to be ordinary.
I'd say not.
A Norweian poet Wergeland loved flowers.
He said,
"Came all the Noblemen forth on a row, in all their power and wealth,
They could not manage to montage a single petal back where it fell from."
