Concentric circles

.
A natural monochrome from me this week - this is the top of a storage box currently residing under my daughter's (not at all black and white or geometric) bed. I like the way the circles almost seem to float off the black background. Sometimes they look like rows of bullseyes to me, other times like a cartoon-style alien invasion, or just a geometric progression. Either way, they make me smile.
.
I hope they make you smile too.

I love geometric figures in children's rooms. Nice b&wh. :)

They looked like rows of cooking elements, when enlarged even seemed to glow:-/
An optical illusion...:-)

Looks like those pictures where the circles start to move if you stare at them long enough :) Or like a backdrop of the new Star Trek movie! Very cool!

I like the way you picked out the one disc in focus - gives a sense of movement.

I like the way the circles float too.
Looks as though folks are having fun with your Summer Meme! I look forward to joining in some time.

The black circles do seem to float or at least give an optical illusion of twirliness (not a real word) as the eye moves back in the image. Nicely captured.

Awesome DOF! it truly does make the circles "float" -- or maybe it's the combination of DOF and background color. Whatever it is, you could probably make money off this one. It rocks!

They make me smile too. At first I thought it was a photo of a painting. Kind of like pop art.
