Crazy about Hapoel Tel Aviv

.
You might say that my son is a teeny bit obsessed with soccer. That would be an understatement. It's all Hapoel Tel Aviv, all the time. My mom made him the shirt last year (and since then I doubt a week has gone by that he hasn't worn it at least once), the scarf (standard gear for Israeli soccer fans) he bought himself at a game.
.
Poses are his, no prompting from me. And for my regular readers, yes, these were taken before he broke his arm.
.
Visit Work of the Poet to see where else red has been spotted this week.

With a level of excitement that cannot be contained, soccer is one of those things that you won't have to remind him twice to do.

If our kids could keep that passionate excitement alive as they grow up...

Hey! These are great pictures of your little guy. I like it when kids start early rooting for their special team. Of course, my husband and I have not grown out of it. We root for our fav college football team each fall...the fun continues!!

what a great little guy! Does he play on a league for people his size? What a great way to channel all that energy!

Robin, I just had to tell you (sorry, this has nothing to do with this particular post, but actually refers back to an earlier one), I'm watching Rick Steves now, and he's doing a show on Israel. I recognized a shot of Tel Aviv beach and started pointing and shouting, "Hey! That's Tel Aviv!" and my parents looked at me like, "how did you know that?" I cited your photo of Tel Aviv beach a while back. See? You're teaching me geography. Just wanted to give you props for that one.

I'm glad you explained what Hapoel Tel Aviv is. I never would have guessed.

Yeah, I guess sports fandom among boys is the same the world over.

Hope that arm heals up soon!

He took soccer after school last year, but this year he's switched to jujitsu to be with a couple of his buddies. They all still play pickup games every afternoon and rabidly watch the pros though.

How funny that you recognized Tel Aviv Sunshine LOL.

Cute collage of your boy! :)

p/s: My girl is up and running already :P

I must send you my son Olivier who is a great fan of .................
football in general. When I write 'fan', you're right, Understatement is THE word!

They're two of a kind.
Allez! Hapoel Tel Aviv! Allez! That's what he would shout in France with his poses.
Great Red collage.

Great pictures! And his enthusiasm is definitely contagious. I bought my husband a new Batman T-shirt for his birthday, and he had to change shirts in order to get it in the wash. Guys love their favorite shirts, no matter how old. Hope his arm heals fast.

Oh no! I'm all caught up and I guess I'm not exactly surprised Itai broke his arm, because I know he's an athletic, busy kid, but painful and scary. Glad he is feeling better. He's a trip.
