Looks like a piece of art!

Tsk tsk.. i just hate how people destroy our mother nature.. unfortunately, this tree won't have many life lines like the others.

Happy WW!

What a very old beautiful tree. If it could talk, I'd want to hear its story. Thank you for stopping by my WW post.

Have a great Wednesday!!

Great shot. Even a stump shows the sheer beauty of nature. Happy WW

Just think... each ring represents one year of that tree's life. Was that a palm tree?

Robin said...

No, not a palm. Palms don't really have traditional trunks, more like odd broken off woody bits where the old fronds broke off/were trimmed. I'm not sure what this one is, I've only ever seen it as a piece of landscaping.

Lovely! There's something truly amazing about and old tree trunk!

Going to explore your site, I'm fascinated that you are in Israel.

What a perfect title. And a very poignant photo when considered in the context of that title too.

What an interesting photo. The title really describes it. Thanks for stopping by.

Cool composition. I like the blurred grass in the corner, just adding a little burst of color to the scene.

Besides being cut down it looks like it had some other stress too. Love the pattern of the rings...
Have a good week Robin...

Beautiful Shot. It looks like a footprint, too.

that's great. i costa rica, there is a lot of furniture made with that kind of tree look and it's gorgeous.

Happy WW! Have you ever seen Hummingbird Babies?

Yeah, I wish they'd leave the trees alone. :(

Very creative title. Great shot. Almost like a footprint, leaving it's mark behind.

hmmm i think i see 24 rings! old tree!

Anonymous said...

There are a lot more than 24 rings. Really old bristlecone pines out here in the western US live thousands of years.

We had to cut a tree down in our front yard (it was so close it would touch the gutters with the tiniest bit of wind) and I refuse to get rid of the stump because it's just stunning, much like this one you've captured. This is a beautiful shot!

I love the texture in this view. Beautifully captured!

I see hints of a shoe in the shape. If only this stump could talk about all its years on this planet.
