Never ever EVER tempt the fates.
Do not under any circumstances tell the internet that your daughter went to sleep quickly and easily and at a reasonable hour, or you might find yourself wide awake at 3am with a hysterically crying daughter who once you've settled her down then chatters to herself for a good hour and a half afterwards, keeping you awake too (despite lying upstairs in your own bed) until 4:30 in the flippin' morning.
So much for a good night's sleep.
And just for added fun, I have my annual today too. Pap smear here I come. Blech.

Oh man, that stinks!!! Maybe you can catch a little nap while you're on the table? Maybe not LOL
Oh dear. I know the feeling. Every single time I mention something my children are doing 'really well', they do the exact opposite as soon as they can!
You know what I hate when small children decide it's time to get up? Their teeny pointy little fingers prying open your eyelids. And who was the clown that taught Ellie to sing "Good Morning! Good Morning! I've slept the whole night through!" when patently she hasn't!
Bummer. Seriously. We have such a hard time getting our twins to bed. They are three and the littlest thing can keep them occupied for hours after we lay them down. We recently found that we have to turn out all the lights or else the boys use the light under their door to play shadow puppets all night until we come to bed!
Been there and done that!
Just want to let you know, I so enjoy your blog!
Ooooh that was so unfair....yes, perhaps waiting for the expected morning is the plan! LOL
Oh *gaffaw* that happens to me all the time!!!!
And you know what my boy gets up to in the middle of the night ;)
