Sometimes wishes really do come true

Last night we had a 3-way birthday party for my niece (5), my nephew (1) and my dad (a lot older than that). We gave my niece a magic wand and she was going around granting people wishes.

Maya (who I wasn't positive would even understand how to make a wish) announced that she wanted to "meet Snow White".

Not a half an hour later my parents finally made the big announcement we grownups have been keeping secret for months - next week they are taking all three of the older grandchildren to DISNEY! They're flying down for 3 nights, and yes, there will be princesses to meet, not to mention Maya's favorites Mickey and Minnie. And rides to ride. And a hotel with a pool. Blew their little minds right off.

And the very best part?

Jay and I get to stay home - ALONE!

Yay for Grandma and Granda (and wish them luck!).

Super Gram and Gramps!

And I'm sure when that wand was waived, your wish came true too! Enjoy the kidless time!
