Whether it's yours

.Or better yet if you've already finished yours and have now persuaded your little sister to share hers too
..
Happy Fourth of July to all the Americans out there. I hope you're having a wonderful celebration - and that you're immortalizing it in photos!
.
Growing up the Fourth of July was one of my very favorite holidays - we always spent it with dear family friends at their lakehouse in the Finger Lakes of Upstate NY, having the kind of fun childhood is meant to be about. Those days are gone now but their memory returns with every jump into a freezing cold lake, sight of a boogie boarder, or taste of homemade strawberry ice cream.
.
What will your family's Fourth of July memories be made of?

What fun pictures. Oh the joys of a simple popsicle. Thanks for sharing and metioning the 4th. You and our family have a good one as well. Aloha :)
Summer does not get any better than this!! Lovely Summer fun pictures!!
I joined again this week too! Happy fourth of July to all the American visitors!
Hot off the sweltering presses of a North Carolina Fourth of July, I accede to your wishes, Lady Robin, and bring you Independence Day Celebration in photographic form.
Unfortunately, Tonka and I picked precisely the worst perch to shoot from that still afforded anything at all. Which is why there is a big honkin' tree in my shot. But we came away with a few winners in the bunch, and since you asked so nice I fast tracked this shot for you. I'll be editing for a while yet though.
Happy 4th of July! Your kids look like they do OK together.
I have memories of bicycle contests (they had doll carriage contests and relay races, too). Two years in a row I won most creative for my bike. Now, my friends report who still live in Newton, they don't give out prizes; everyone wins. I find that annoying.
Love that center picture! We always lived in places with great views of fireworks (in DC). First there was our apartment building roof (clear view of the Washington Monument) and then we moved to Capitol Hill and could just walk over to the Mall. I definitely miss that!
Great collage of popsicle-y goodness.
My boys like SpongeBob - I think his laugh is annoying sometimes, but the show is fun - it sure makes the perfect yellow for ice cream photo!
Love is sharing your ice block! A good 4th of July treat.
Your kids are such cuties!
My daughter called today and said our little Lily had her first shaved ice and sat and kept going hmmmm...hmmmmm...
I remember parades in the day and carnivals into the night. Country singing on the town square and fireworks when the singer left the stage.
Aw - very generous of her, seeing that she seems to be quite into hers herself.
Also love the gorgeous water splash photo below!
Neat post.
Thankfully, our 4th is over for another year. It is a pain in the behind to get your kids, now over 50 to come home and shoot off firecrackers.
What fun .. last nite Husband and I were reminiscing about popsicles!
LOVE the collage!
Oh, those big brothers. Fun photos.
That's great, Robin! :) Mine's up!
love that big brother shot. awesome:-)
Happy 4th to you too Robin! We had good friends over... much to be thankful for... and I love the memories that you are making now, but who could ever forget homemade ice cream??? XO
I love popsicles and ice cream as much as anybody, but for some reason, only kids can make it look even more delicious! Love your pics this week!
Chilling shots!
Sorry about the wrong link Robin. Please delete the first one when you get a chance.
Sweet kids with the artic. :)
They know how to enjoy life.
Love the pictures Robin, ...and that your kids will share...! Well, mine will too, but at 14 and 15, there's usually some bargaining thrown in to it!
I played along today for the first time! I feel like summer's finally here and this meme is perfect for my happy mood! Thanks for your creativity :)
Bella
Forgive me this whine .. but so far 4 of the names/links on Mr Linky for your photo project are actually NOT for your photo project ... nice blogs that involved scrolling through tons of unrelated posts to sometimes loud music .. I dont 'get' why these bloggers have linked to your Mr Linky ..
I think Mr. Linkie's going a bit wacky this week Daryl, several people have ended up with the wrong links. I've been asked to correct them, but it's not seeing me as the list owner so I'm not able to.
That said folks, please do try your best to post the correct permalink to your Summer Stock post, so that people don't have to scroll through your whole blog to find it. Thanks :).
I'm a little late today, but still on board!
Popsicles and kids definitely say summer! Great shots.
I'm one day off, so sorry for the confusion. We need ice cream like you had in your pictures today; we're in the upper 90s with full sun. We've had a great 4th of July weekend, and hope you have too.
re. Daryl's comment - I've actually noticed more and more people linking to memes just to get blog traffic - I think I'm going to start leaving them nasty comments
I make such an effort to visit everyone who takes part and then you get people who are just blog whores
but anyway - love the photos, sorry I didn't play this week - my head is in a total cloud :)
Oh, they sure look like they are loving their ice pops! What fun pictures, Robin!
Have a great week!! : )
So many players!! Congratulations!
I don't know if Sponge Bob icecream had hit France yet. I'll be on the lookout...it looks good and my girls would think that's funny :)
Those are great pictures! Every 4th of July we go to the same BBQ and eat too much food and set off fireworks. Both of our children have spent their first 4th of July there. :)
Hey, I found my way here via Dianne though I see quite a few familiar names here. :) What prompted me to leave a comment on this July 5th entry was your mention of spending the 4th in the Finger Lakes of Upstate NY while growing up. I grew up in the Finger Lakes (Geneva to be exact). I guess more than anything, this is a "small world" moment for me. :)
