I took a much needed sanity break to recharge my creative spirit yesterday and headed back to Jaffa, camera in hand. Winter is still refusing to show it's face but the magic of Old Jaffa was well worth braving the 90+ degree weather we've been having. I even got the chance to hand out a bunch of business cards to some tourists while I was there. 90 degrees is way too hot for me. What a charming and quaint old street. Very inviting.
Oh, delightful! I can understand how it is so tempting to take the camera and go. Love all the details - and the sign and the lamps show "modern" among the ancient.
It looks a bit like the little cobbled streets in Italy !

The old world exists, with beautiful stone walkways, steps and buildings. The close quarters feel a few centuries old, and I can envision a throng of neighbors and retail in a wonderful, fun and lovely manner...
i love the stone walls and floor. and weathered walls give out a warm ambiance.

Love the shot, Robin! It's refusing to be winter here too... 60-65 degrees. I know it's not 90 degrees but it's been beautifully sunny. Great for photographing. :)

I love the photo and the way the steps lead your eye to the light under the archway... so beautiful and almost mysterious looking!

The steps are inviting, and the reported weather, even more so. It is in the 70s here during the day, and I so miss summer.
