Simple Pleasures

We took our houseguest to a nearby Crusader castle this morning. It's really something special - stark ruins against an azure blue sky with the Mediterranean Sea splashing on the cliffs below (or at least it would be if today hadn't been so hazy that you could barely see...). It's both impressive and close to home, so it's a great place to go when we've got visitors from overseas. Here, see for yourselves...

Itai particularly enjoys the castle mockup and pictures of knights that he can pretend to joust.

And Maya? Maya likes the simpler pleasures in life. She was happiest walking on the stone edges of the paths and better yet, just sitting in the dirt playing with the rocks, completely ignoring the 800 year old pillar lying on the ground behind her.

Great place! So that's close to where you live? How nice! Funny when I saw the pics. of the kids. Liam would be doing exactly what Itai is doing and Isabella would be where Maya is. Isa loves rocks! Looks like you're having fun with your guests.

Just feeds into the kids' imaginations...
