TT - More Randomosity

My brain is fried and full of all the inevitable minutiae that pile up before a major trip so you're getting another random brain dump this week.

1. I am not going to lose weight if I end up eating the leftover crusts of my daughter's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

2. I can't help it - they're on Jay's delicious homemade bread and are oh so good.

3. We're loving the new juicer, and Jay's even developed a way to turn the leftover mush into really good veggie burgers.

4. He's a pretty handy guy to have around :).

5. Tomorrow a good friend is throwing herself a big 40th birthday bash.

6. I promised to bake a peach cobbler to bring with me.

7. Which means I need to buy peaches tomorrow (and eggs and a few other assorted thing).

8. But I want to get my hair colored in the morning (can anyone say "major skunk stripe going on"?).

9. So I'll have to bake after that.

10. And I promised the kids I'd take them to the pool in the afternoon.

11. Which means that my spiffy professionally blown-out hair will not make it until evening.

12. Drat.

13. Oh well, it's too hot to leave it down anyway.

Happy Thursday everyone, hope it's a great one.

Ooooh! I never thought of using the veggie pulp for veggie burgers. I might just break out the juicer again and try to remember how it works.

Hope you have a good time at the party (and at the pool) - sounds like a super busy day!

Don't worry..... be happy!

The hair is critical. Surely there is someone who owes you a favor who can take your kids to the pool while you sit in air conditioned comfort babying your fab hair!

Good luck with that cobbler. I'm with you on the spiffy do--many a one here has been sacrificed on the altar of motherhood!

Peach cobbler and the pool got my attention. Both sound wonderful in the summer.

I am seeing my hair goddess on Sat. I love the professionally blown-out air almost as much as bread and peach cobbler.

Oh … I love these ‘random’ posts but never seem to think of doing them myself these days. I so know what you mean about bread crusts with a hit of pb&j and the battle of the bulge. Getting daring with the hair color??? I missed my hair appointment yesterday, but the guy who does my hair is taking pity on me and squeezed me in this afternoon for a perm. He’ll get a BIG TIP today ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

you have to tell me how he makes veggie burgers out of the pulps.... that is incredible! who would've thunk it? i need to try this...

Not playing today, but I want recipes! Veggie burgers and peach cobbler. Put that in your notes for when you get back from your trip:-)
Pretty please?

Will do.

And the big news is... drumroll please... the hair survived! I put my hair up when I went in the pool and managed to keep it dry. It's not quite as perfect as this morning, but certainly good enough. Yay!

Jay sounds very handy and like he's full of good ideas. I've got to get one of those juicers. But with 7 in our family, I can't imagine how much produce I'd be buying.

Forget the hair. What I want to know is how did that peach cobbler do? ha ha.

If you stop cutting the crusts off you won't be tempted. Happy TT.

I don't know what a peach cobbler is but I love peaches, and I'd love to try it! And yes, I know too well about the 'skunk thing'...
Happy Thursday, and thanks for posting!

I, too, like your "random" posts.

Re the Pizza Crust eating---we call it "Daddy Disposal," and, no, it doesn't make for weight loss. But I paid for ALL THAT FOOD, darn it....and someone's gotta eat it!
