See, now that's why I don't make New Year's Resolutions

They're just too hard to keep.

You all remember that I had geared myself up to get back to the gym and get back into shape. I did start going to the gym, even met with my trainer for a new program, but every time I tried to actually work out I started coughing my guts up.

I was sick a few weeks ago. I recovered from it pretty quickly thanks to Lea's magic tea, but I ended up with this miserable hacking cough that I just couldn't shake.

After many sleepless nights and miserable days I finally dragged myself to the doctor this morning. Turns out I have bronchitis. No physical activity for three weeks*.

There goes that plan.

* At least he didn't say I couldn't make an utter and complete pig out of myself and eat an obscene number of See's Molasses Chips to console myself.

What a bummer! I've been coughing a lot, too, with my sore throat. I'm certain I don't have bronchitis, though. I hope you get better soon. :-)

I had bronchitis a few years ago. It was probably the sickest I've been in the last ten years at least. Refuah shlemah (complete recovery). Hope Jay has a good recipe for chicken soup!

Sorry you are still not well. You can plan to pick up when you get the OK. There is lots of time to make that great goal happen! I think New Years Resolutions are much more likely to happen if we allow for some set backs and be flexible - I mean getting bronchitis wasn't exactly in your control after all:) Get well soon!

I hope you heal up quickly. It's a bummer to start the New Year off with bronchitis.

I'm so sorry. Since I'm allergic to organized sports and exercise, I wouldn't have minded the news. :) How in the world do you get See's molasses chips in Israel? When we lived on the East coast See's candies were my treat when we went home to the west.

I had a houseguest that brought them *grin*. They're good, but the See's peppermint patties she brought were sell your kids to the gypsies for them good.

I think I might have bronchitis myself, have been coughing for a month now. Can't afford the doctor though. :(

You poor thing. When (ok, if) I get to the rec center tomorrow I'll do a lap for you.
Like mother in israel...the sickest I'd ever been I had bronchitis. I actually cracked a rib coughing...two weeks before I had to present a masters level flute recital. So I certainly hope you recover soon!

Oh no. I hope it clears up soon. I am ready to get back on the bandwagon and get back on that tread mill too. I moved it into my basement to motive me more, lets hope it works. We can break back in this exercise thing together (once you are better and my cold is gone - no, those are excuses :) )

There is nothing worse than the winter cough that won't go away. I hope it does soon!

Hope you are feeling better now Robin! And I'm sure the See's HAD to help ;)

Geez Robin, I hope you are better soon. I think illness excuses you from your committment, well that and a note from your Mother. LOL. Those things growing in your kitchen sure look good after the oven gets them! Get well quick!

I totally sypathize with you . . . my husband and I have been sick for nearly two months straight. Don't worry though, you'll get your resolve back just as soon as you get your health back. And what with all that gorgeous home-made bread sitting around, you certainly won't starve ;-).

Happy new year!

Okay, now you should be back up on your feet and we can start again together right?
